The Air Training Corps is a uniformed youth organisation for 12 (School Year 8) to 18 year olds. The organisation is sponsored by the Ministry of Defence and Royal Air Force and it's aims (as set out in its Royal Warrant) are to:
- To promote and encourage among young men and women a practical interest in aviation and the Royal Air Force (RAF).
- To provide training which will be useful in both the services and civilian life.
- To foster a spirit of adventure and to develop the qualities of leadership and good citizenship.
The cadets are supported by a dedicated team of volunteers who bring a huge variety of skills and experience to the unit. Whilst delivering a high quality cadet experience, we are also committed to the safety and welfare of our cadets - as you would expect, we are all subject to a DBS Enhanced Disclosure before appointment.
